Xidian Institution is a public research university in Xi’an, China, that is directly affiliated with the Chinese Ministry of Education. The university, which was founded in 1931, is regarded as one of China’s top engineering research and education institutions. It has China’s fifth-best electronic engineering programme. According to U.S. News and World Report, it is ranked 70 among China’s Best Global Universities for Computer Science as of April 2018. The university was listed in the top 1000 universities in the world by Times Higher Education in 2017.
