About University
Welcome to Wuhan university
Zhang Zhidong, the governor of Hubei Province and Hunan Province during the late Qing Dynasty, founded Wuhan University in 1893. The university had created six colleges by the end of 1946, including liberal arts, law, sciences, engineering, agriculture, and medical. In the year 2000, the former Wuhan Universititis was merged, ushering in a new chapter in the university’s 100-year history.
