Welcome to Shantou University
Shantou University (STU) is a comprehensive public university on China’s southeast coast, financed by the Ministry of Education, the Guangdong Provincial Government, and the Li Ka Shing Foundation. It was created in 1981. It is the world’s only public university to be supported by the Li Ka Shing Foundation on a long-term basis. College of Liberal Arts, College of Sciences, College of Engineering, Medical College, Law School, Business School, Cheung Kong School of Art and Design and Cheung Kong School of Journalism and Communication are the University’s eight colleges and schools.
