Welcome to Hohai Institution

Hohai Institution is a research university in Nanjing, China, that is directly governed by the Chinese Ministry of Education. The Ministry of Water Resources was in charge of it from 1958 until 2000. The university’s main concentration is on coastal engineering, hydraulic engineering, water resources, and ocean engineering research and education, with coordinated development of engineering, science, economics, management, arts, and law. It has established a graduate school as part of Project 211 (a Chinese government development project involving over 100 prominent universities). In addition, it is a Chinese Ministry of Education Double First-Class Discipline University, with Double First-Class classification in certain disciplines.
