Welcome to The University of West of Scotland
The University of Paisley and Bell College merged to establish the University of the West of Scotland (UWS) in August 2007. It is the largest contemporary university in Scotland, with 16,000 students scattered across four campuses in Ayr, Dumfries, Hamilton, and Paisley. The University of the West of Scotland is one of Scotland’s most vocational higher education institutions, with close ties to industry and business.
