Living Cost

Cost of living in China

Most Chinese institutions, especially for overseas students, provide excellent and comfortable dormitories. Private toilets, TVs, Internet connection, washing machines, refrigerators, and even a small kitchen are common features in dormitories. You have the option of staying on university grounds or renting an apartment outside of the campus. Despite the fact that the majority of Beijing’s universities are in the west, students choose to live in the east. This is because the eastern side is home to the majority of restaurants, pubs, and clubs, as well as international hospitals and foreign beauty salons. A one-bedroom flat in the city centre can set you back between Rs 30,000 and Rs 40,000.

Even though Tianjin is a large city only 20 minutes from Beijing, the cost of living is lower. Only INR 23,000 a month might be spent on food and transportation.

Beijing is China’s capital and also one of the most costly cities in the country. For individual expenses, students should set up INR 39,000 per month.

Shanghai is China’s financial capital and is just as expensive as Beijing, with personal expenses of INR 39,000 minus lodging.

Qingdao is a seaside city that is one of the most economical yet convenient locations to live in, with personal expenses ranging from INR 12,000 to 16,000 per month.

Hangzhou This is a well-organized second-tier city with enough to see that won’t break the bank. Estimate monthly expenses at INR 23,000.

Nanjing, like Qingdao, is a fantastic place to live, with international students spending around INR 23,000 per month.
