Founded in 1994, Tzu Chi University is a private higher education institute located in the suburban setting of the large town of Hualien (population range of 50,000-249,999 residents), Hualien County. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Education, Republic of China (Taiwan), Tzu Chi University (TCU) is a small (uniRank enrollment range: 2,000-2,999 pupils) coeducational higher education institution formally affiliated with the Buddhist religion. Tzu Chi University (TCU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor’s degrees, master’s degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. This 25 year old higher-education institution has a selective admission policy based on entrance examinations. International applicants are eligible to apply for admission.
